Super Eagles winger,Ahmed Musa has revealed that he
turned down an opportunity to play for English side,Tottenham Hotspur,because
he supports their rival,Arsenal.
Musa who was one of the stars that excelled at the
FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Colombia two years ago,had clubs swooning for his
signature.
The 20-year old ditched the offers he got from
Germany and England(Spurs) to make the transfer to Russian side CSKA Moscow in
January 2012,from Dutch side VVV Venlo.
Asked why he didn’t join Tottenham,Musa said “I’m
actually a child of Arsenal ” the former Kano Pillars forward told prosports.ru
Musa further added that he admired former Super
Eagles player Kanu Nwankwo,when he was at Arsenal.
“When I first started playing football, my
favourite player was Nwankwo Kanu and his best seasons were spent in Arsenal,”
Musa added.
